Who we are

Thila is a ride, delivery, speedboat and food ordering service in the Maldives, run by Invow Maldives LLP. This policy covers the Thila, Thila Driver and Thila Vendor apps.

What we collect

Your name, phone number and, if you add one, email address and profile photo. Your location while you use the app: customers to set a pickup point and see nearby drivers, drivers while they are online (including in the background, so customers can follow the trip), and restaurants once, to place the shop on the map. Pickup and drop-off places, trip, order and booking history, ratings and chat messages. Drivers and restaurants also give business details, documents and a bank account number so customers can pay them.

How we use it

To match you with a driver, restaurant or boat, show trips and orders to the people involved, send you notifications and trip summary emails, keep the service safe, and let our team approve drivers and restaurants and help with problems.

Who can see it

A driver sees a customer's name, phone number, pickup and drop-off once they accept the trip. A customer sees the driver's name, phone, vehicle and live position once the trip is accepted. A restaurant sees the customer's name and delivery address for an order. We use service providers to run the apps: hosting (Vercel), database (MongoDB Atlas), SMS (Message Owl), email (Resend) and maps. We do not sell your data.

Payments

Thila does not take card details. Customers pay drivers and restaurants directly, in cash or by bank transfer.

How long we keep it

We keep your account while you use Thila. Trip and order records are kept as needed for the other person's records and for the law.

Your choices and deleting your account

You can change your details in the app's Account screen. To delete your account, open Account in the app and tap "Delete my account". Your profile and personal details are erased. You can also ask us by email.

Children

Thila is not meant for children under 16.
